So I finally found somewhere that I could type the story into where I could copy and paste it. So I started typing it over to that one and the stupid thing closed out without saving so I've written this chapter like three times, lol.   Like I said in the comments over on Lori's group, I'm not really sticking a timeframe to it, like there won't be a month/year at the top but I will probably drop in hints to what year it is through stuff the characters say.

However just because it is the first chapter, I will say, it's sometime after the Def Leppard EP but before Pyromania.  I still can't for the life of me come up with a title so it's just going to be 'Untitled' lol

Its been awhile since I've written anything, I think the last time I wrote something was early 2000's so I'm incredibly rusty!

"Bridget!" her mom called upstairs. "Rick's here!"

"I'll be right down!"

When she walked into the living room, he was sitting on the arm of the couch, talking with her mom. He smiled when he saw her. She returned the smile.

"I won't have her out too late." he promised her mom.

"I know you won't." her mom said with a smile. Rick Savage was a good young man. "Tell your parents I said hello."

"Of course. I'll have my mum call you."

They walked hand in hand to the car he'd borrowed for the night from his brother. He held the door open for her and kissed her once before going around to the driver's side.

He drove to one of their favorite parks and they took a walk along the water before sitting on one of the benches.  She shivered slightly.

"Here." He removed his jacket and wrapped it around her shoulders. "Better?"

"Much better." She pulled the jacket tighter around her and looked out at the water, watching the ripples in the moonlight.

"I've been thinking and I miss you so much when we're on the road, that you should come with me for some of the shows. What do you say?"

"I...." she trailed off.  "I'm.... pregnant, Rick."

"Pregnant?" He stood and then sat back down. "Pregnant? Are you sure?"

"I took two tests and went to the doctor. He says I'm about two months along. I really just thought I had the stomach flu."

"Bridge.... I...."

"You don't have to say it. I know, a baby complicates things."

"Well yes but that wasn't what I was going to say.  I love you. Marry me."

Blogging and Me

I've tried this whole blogging thing so many times before and then would lose interest. I think it was because I was trying too hard to make it something it wasn't.  I'm not an influencer and don't want to be. I just want a place to be myself so this is that for me. It's not a blog more a journal.
